For 100 Books the artists collected novels from book boxes and thrift stores. During the performance, they take the books from a stack that is arranged between them, read a sentence, and put the book aside. Each sentence is intended to correspond to the preceding one so that a story emerges from all the combined texts. A live transcript is shown behind them, giving the viewers the chance to follow the story. After the performance, the books were displayed in the exhibition space and could be taken away by the visitors.
